Montrose Hospitality is a custom furniture company for the Hospitality industry with a genuinely global reach.  We are proud to partner with two World Class custom hospitality Factories, one in Europe and the other in Asia.  We have defined exclusivity agreements in place with both these factory partners.  In addition we also have close relationships with North American factories. We are currently running production in North America, Asia, and Europe.

We combine the strengths of these factories with the oversight and product development expertise of team members based in the US, Europe and Asia.

Collectively our team has over 200 years’ experience in the production of fine custom furniture. Our team members experience ranges from the running of the finest UK furniture workshop and the outfitting of the most luxurious super yachts and Palaces to the furnishing of the largest Casinos in Las Vegas.

Uniquely in the Hospitality Industry we are a company run by a team that actually has made furniture. As Cabinet Makers we have made many award-winning pieces, and these can be found in some of the most prestigious private furniture collections, Palaces and Super Yachts in the World. We know how to make fine furniture.

TEAM

Alastair Graham is the President of Montrose Hospitality.

Alastair’s furniture career started with the making of prayer stools in the workshop of the Benedictine Monastery where he was a Novice Monk. After leaving the Monastery he studied Furniture Design and Cabinet Making under John Makepeace at Parnham. From there he set up his workshop making work of the highest quality- indeed Madonna was his workshop’s very first client. Many illustrious commissions followed for an increasingly international client base, including Palaces, Super Yachts and Royal Residences on 3 continents. Alastair is the only custom Hospitality Furniture supplier holding the prestigious Bespoke Guildmark for Excellence from the UK’s Worshipful company of Furniture Makers.

 

Kitty Knight is a Senior Project Manager at Montrose Hospitality.

Kitty’s longstanding career in the hotel furnishings industry began with an entry level clerical position at Marriott Corporate headquarters in Washington DC. After 10 years in various roles within their purchasing department, Kitty’s strengths had been recognized and she had become Purchasing Manager at Marriott.

Subsequently, Kitty relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she joined the other side in working on the supply of Custom Furniture for the Hospitality Industry. She never looked back - in over 20 years her experience has included being Director of Projects for Decca in North America.

 

Tyler Dembicks is Vice President of Operations at Montrose Hospitality.

With two Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering and Furniture Manufacturing from North Carolina State University, (why stop there?) Tyler also holds a Master of Business Administration at the University of South Carolina. Tyler is a fourth-generation carpenter and cabinet maker with 25 years of furniture experience. The last 12 of these years have been dedicated to the hospitality industry, a period of which included being Manager of Operations North America for Mark David (where projects he ran included over 2,000 rooms of furniture for The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas) prior to his joining the Montrose team.

 
 

Tara León is Senior Marketing Director at Montrose Hospitality.

Tara has a background of 30 years working in the fashion and entertainment industries in Europe, Asia, and USA. She has worked both in front and behind the camera, working with some of the most renowned designers from Gianfranco Ferré, Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Oscar De La Renta and Chanel to prolific directors Robert Altman and Kevin Bray. As a stylist her work includes commercials for clients such as AT & T, Macy’s, and Heineken.

 

Naomi Hawker is a Senior Project Manager at Montrose Hospitality.

Since completing her formal education at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Naomi has specialized in project and data management. Initially she worked at The Henry Ford Museum and Library managing and documenting over 250,000 artefacts. From there she moved into the Hospitality Industry with Decca and she now has approaching 20 years of experience managing the production and delivery of Hospitality furniture at the highest level. She is also an exceptional keeper of bees!

 

Colin Davies is a Senior Project Engineer at Montrose Hospitality and is based in Europe.

From his time in the early 1990’s as Senior Cabinet Maker for British legendary furniture designer John Makepeace OBE, Colin has pursued furniture excellence. This pursuit of excellence took him to Silver Lining, the finest producer of custom residential furniture in the UK. Over a 20-year period he developed and grew their team, winning multiple awards for excellence in craftsmanship along the way. During this period, he moved from making at the bench to drafting and engineering. As part of this process, he also drew the assembly instructions for Lego, you’ve possibly already seen his work…….

 
 

Jillian M. Stoltz is Project Engineer at Montrose Hospitality

Jillian has a strong technical background in furniture design and production. She graduated with a BFA in Furniture Design from the prestigious Kendall College of Art and Design.

Before joining Montrose, Jillian divided her career between High Point and Los Angeles working for a select group of furniture specialists in both the Hospitality and Residential sectors of the marketplace. She is a highly skilled furniture designer and engineer with expertise across a number of CAD platforms.

The wide range of her skills is evidenced by the fact that she is currently spending her spare time converting a Barn in Vermont. She is a valued member of the Montrose team.

 

Ken Yuan is Asia Manager for Montrose Hospitality.

Ken is one of the most knowledgeable custom hospitality furniture experts in Asia today. His experience ranges from being China Sales Manager for Sherwin Williams (the largest lacquer supplier in the World) to 8 years as QC manager for a specialist Furniture import company. Prior to joining Montrose Hospitality, he served for 8 years as Vice President of Sales for our partner factory which is widely recognized as the finest custom hospitality furniture factory in China.

 

May Cai is a Project Account Manager at Montrose Hospitality.

May has over 10 years’ experience working in custom hospitality furniture. May started her career as Project Account Manager for the best custom hospitality furniture factory in China under Ken Yuan. She managed many of their key projects during this time, these projects included numerous Four Seasons properties around the world and the St Regis Cairo, where she first worked with Alastair.

 
 
 

Mr. Lu is a Technician Manager for Montrose Hospitality.

Mr. Lu has extensive experience in the production of fine furniture including 25 years as Production Manager for a major export Factory. After this he served 8 years as the QC manager for another export Factory. In the 3 years he has been with Montrose Hospitality he has been instrumental in developing our QC and technical standards.

 

Mr. Jing is a Technician Manager for Montrose Hospitality.

Mr. Jing is a key member of our team and brings with him an enormous amount of expertise including 22 years as production manager of an export Factory and 10 years as QC manager for a contract furniture import factory.
